A decade of happiness!

 

This post was written by Sparky's human sister on the occasion of his 10th birthday.

“SPAARKY!!! Happy birthdayyyyyy!!!! “ Came the voice of my sister… oh god… its 7 am in the morning! Does she have to shout??

Anyway, yes… it’s my birthday. It’s been 10 years since I was born. I’ve heard Mom and Ria saying that I’m old and I’m 70 ‘human’ years old and blah blah…. Well! I don’t look old. I just kind of…. Maybe feel it some days with joint pains and lethargy but that’s a different issue!

So after she yelled in my ear and she and mom gave me big long hugs they gave me a special chew stick! Ohhhhhhh bliss!! Every year I wait for it! For some reason it seems more special than every day’s chew sticks! Then finally after much yelling and screaming Ria caught the bus! I don’t know why mom always says Ria is going to be late! She never is! I watch the big yellow bus coming everyday and watch that wretched street dog Snoopy being fed. It makes me green with jealousy to see Mom playing with that maniac. Anyway, after Ria got into the bus mom sat and had her tea and then she tied this silly red ribbon on me! Yuck… I feel like such a clown! But anyway I spilled my food on it so mom had to take it off. Hehehe.

The rest of the day seemed usual and Ganjoo mama called and tried to talk to me… I don’t know why Mom keeps trying to make me listen to him out of that weird talking  device! I can never hear him anyway!  But she kept saying ‘talk to G mama, he is wishing you’ again and again, so I suppose he must have been sitting inside that device. God knows what these humans do for fun.

I had my lunch after that and I got some extra chicken pieces with it! YIPEEEEE!!  And I stole the little bit they gave to that annoying little Icy who’s staying with us too!  She is the last thing I want to see on my birthday, the little upstart. And after lunch I was so fulllll! I just had to lie down…. I carefully sneaked up on the bed and mom actually didn’t say anything! Birthday perks hahaha! Ill definitely wake up in time for Ria. I wont let her sneak up on me today!

DAMN IT!!!!!!! SHE SNUCK UP ON ME AGAIN! WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME! Maybe I am getting old after all… she does it everyday! When I was younger, I used to hear her even before she came into the house! Now she opens the door slowllllly… tiptoes into the room… stands in front of me and then breathes on my face! OH! Such embarrassment… L

After Ria came back from piano she bought a sponge cake and some egg-fried rice! It’s my birthday treat every year and I love it! I quickly gobbled up what they gave me and they let me eat the cake right out of the plate!!! BUT IM SO ANNOYED CAUSE THEY GAVE THAT ANNOYING MOUSE ICY SOME TOO! What’s her problem? She’s a house guest! She shouldn’t be so greedy! I am going to bite her nose off one day.

I finished my food in peace and went in with mom and Ria to watch some TV… Hmm. All in all a nice day, I suppose. And it’s been a good life these last 10 years, I am a lucky dog!
